One Holy God
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:22 | Psalm 90:2 |
1 Peter 1:2 | 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Holy Bible This is a book containing information that God has revealed about himself. The Bible was written over thousands of years by many authors from different cultures and who spoke different languages (Hebrews 1:1-2). These authors were all "moved upon" by God and inspired to write down words that originated from God (2 Timothy 3:16).
Man
Created in the image of God but fallen, lost and powerless to save himself.
Jesus Christ
Virgin-born Son of God Who was crucified to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of all mankind. He arose from the dead, thereby conquering sin, death and the grave. Jesus will personally return to the earth in power and glory. Jesus is the only way to the way to father in heaven. Salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12).
Man's Only Hope
Belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In about the year A.D. 33, the Christ suffered death by crucifixion according to God's plan, and his body was laid in a grave. Long before this happened, however, God made a promise that he would not let his "Holy One see decay." (Psalms 16:10) Three days after his death, God raised Jesus from the dead. Being made alive again, Jesus' body did not complete the process of decomposition, and so God fulfilled his promise (Acts 2:22-23; Acts 13:27-38). The Bible affirms that anyone who believes that Jesus is God's Holy One and that God raised Jesus from the dead "shall be saved." (Romans 10:9-10) That person receives righteousness as a free gift in the same way Abraham received righteousness for believing God (Romans 4:3, 20-24). Christ's death on the cross substitutes for the man's own death penalty. This is called salvation, because man is "saved" from his sins. The work of Jesus Christ to die for the sins of mankind makes this salvation possible, so he is the "Savior."
We Celebrate
Water Baptism and Holy Communion are among the ways we celebrate our hope in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4; John 6:48, 51, 53-57; Luke 22:19-20; 2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26)
Healing
Consistent with His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ still offers healing for the physical, relational and emotional pain in our lives.
The Holy Spirit
Dwells in those who receive Christ and empowers believers to live righteous and holy lives. Upon being saved the Holy spirit enters your heart and starts to clean you up along the way. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, along with its evidences, and the Gifts of the Spirit are available to believers today.
Lifestyle
When a life is changed by the love of Christ, we begin a journey of becoming like Christ. It is displayed inwardly with love, joy, and peace. It is displayed outwardly in lives of integrity and is shown relationally by love and grace. In other words you start to notice you don't think the same way as you once did.
Someday
Life, as we know it, will come to an end. Jesus will return and show Himself to be "King of Kings." Everyone will be held accountable for the choices of their lives.
Those who die outside of a life in Christ will spend eternity separated from God forever in Hell, but those who die 'in Him' shall share in His glory in Heaven forever. Daniel 12:2 Matthew 25:46 John 5:29 Jude 1:7. A permanent, personal relationship with God, without the influence of evil and pain will be established for all who chose Christ. This will be Heaven forever.
