We are a body of believers that have a passion to Bring the Word to the curb meeting people, where they are at like Jesus does.... not just inside the walls of a building, but in the community. Our mission is the Great Commission. We are bringing the Gospel to the streets hitting the highways and byways. Our heart is to spiritually restore those who have been broken. Who have been judged by Christians and those who feel as if there is no hope.We also aim to ignite the body of Christ to step outside their comfort zones and be obedient in sharing the truth of Jesus. What if the Church took the mission of Christ serious?
RSC was started to be a "different" Church. I beg you to take a few minutes and just read this. Our vision was a Church that would love everyone with zero judgement yet also not compromise the word of God and spark revival.
We truly believe that if Jesus attempted to walk into many Church's today one of two thing's would happen. Eithe
RSC was started to be a "different" Church. I beg you to take a few minutes and just read this. Our vision was a Church that would love everyone with zero judgement yet also not compromise the word of God and spark revival.
We truly believe that if Jesus attempted to walk into many Church's today one of two thing's would happen. Either they wouldn't let him in because he didn't live up to their standards or he would flip tables in the Church's.
What if Church's were known more for their love than judgement? What if Church's were known more for how they served the community than self absorbing? What if Church's didn't compromise God's word just to fill seats? What if Church's preached the whole word of God and not just bits and pieces? What if we focused more on Jesus and seeking the face of God rather than smoke shows? What if the Church looked more like a hospital for the broken? Shouldn't Church's be known for a real encounter with God, not just an emotional experience? Shouldn't people be transformed? Shouldn't Church's seek those without Christ? Shouldn't our altars be full of people?
These are all questions that filled our Pastor TJ's head then God gave him a vision:
Rescue Shop Church was to be a church that welcomes absolutely everyone. Impacts the community, loves genuinely, intentionally and fiercely. A Church that would be more concerned about souls than a pocketbook. A Church That wouldn't compromise God's word. A Church that was more focused on genuine heart transformation instead of flashing lights. RSC is a Church created to spark revival, where we do everything we can to lead people to Jesus. A Church that will plant Church's, feed the hungry, clothe those who are in need, shelter those without and gets back to Acts chapter 2. We are a Church that preaches christ crucified, Sin is sin, Jesus is the only way, people are flawed, God is flawless and everyone is welcome at the foot of the cross. We aren't worried about political affiliation or skin color, we are more concerned with loving each other deeply. We are a church that believes in disciples making disciples.
Are we perfect? Nope.... we make mistakes, we have flaws and at times mess up. But isn't that what Church is for? People that are broken and flawed? People that are seeking God and worshipping him in spirit and truth.
